Who uses The Knot
Wedding vendors such as venues, photographers, caterers, florists, planners, DJs and bands, and the couples planning a wedding. Reviews must come from verified clients of the vendor for a wedding-related event.
Claim your profile
- The Knot's help center says reviews can only be posted for vendors that already have a Storefront, and that an unlisted vendor should contact WeddingPro to create a listing.
- WeddingPro, TKWW's vendor site, offers a free account with no credit card required, plus paid Storefronts with more placement. The pages we checked do not describe a separate claim process for an existing listing; account questions go to support@weddingpro.com.
- After logging in to WeddingPro, follow the task checklist to set up your Storefronts.
- Free and Starter vendors must meet setup requirements before a Knot Storefront is published: business name, description, email and address, a minimum number of photos by category, basic pricing, and answers to all Products and Services questions that apply.
- Once the requirements are met on both The Knot and WeddingWire, Storefronts are reviewed and published within 24 hours.
- To change contact details later, log in and open Contact Info under the Storefront tab.
Replying to reviews
Log in, open the Reviews tab on your dashboard, and click 'respond' under the review. The Knot's help center says vendors can publicly respond to reviews on their Storefront to thank couples, add context, or address concerns. The TKWW review policy calls review responses a premium feature for paid vendors.
- TKWW recommends that eligible vendors respond to every review, good or bad.
- Responses follow the same content rules as reviews; if TKWW removes a response, it tells the vendor why.
- If a vendor disagrees with a review, the policy points to a public response rather than a dispute, unless the review breaks the rules.
- Review questions can go to reviewhelp@weddingpro.com, the address The Knot's help center lists.
Review rules
In our own words. The official page is the rule that applies.
- Reviewers need a registered account on The Knot. Reviews usually appear within about 15 minutes, but some are held for a policy check, and they show the reviewer's first name and last initial.
- Only verified clients may review: a party to the vendor's contract, someone with proof of payment, or the couple if named on the contract or payment. Bride and groom may each post a review in their own words.
- Proof is not needed to publish, but TKWW may request contracts or payment records from both sides if a review is questioned or disputed.
- The event must be wedding-related, and a review cannot cover only a tour, tasting, interview or trial; reviews are accepted from the time someone becomes a client until two years after the event.
- Not allowed: profanity, sexually explicit or hateful content, harassment or threats, private identifying information, protected intellectual property, duplicate content, spam, and statements shown to be false by objective documents.
- Review photos must relate to the review, be at least 300 by 300 pixels, and not show contracts, messages or other mostly text documents.
- Vendors may not limit a client's right to review, post reviews of their own business, arrange reviews from non-clients, or offer anything of value for a review with a set sentiment.
Reporting a review
The Knot's own process, step by step.
- Vendors may submit one dispute per review. Log in to the WeddingPro dashboard, choose The Knot tab, open Reviews, find the review and select the Dispute button below it.
- The reviewer may be told the review is under evaluation but does not see your reasons. TKWW may hide the review while it decides and gives both sides 10 calendar days to send any documents it requests.
- TKWW acts only if the reviewer was not a client, the event was not eligible, or the content breaks the policy, including facts proven false with clear documents.
- Disputes are not accepted for differences of opinion or recollection, minor errors such as dates or names, reviews posted more than 12 months ago, or a review already disputed once.
- Possible outcomes range from leaving the review up to removing it or its photos, and TKWW may also warn or remove accounts or revoke vendor awards.
Tips
- Request a review from every client soon after the wedding while the details are fresh.
- Reply to criticism with a calm, specific response; future couples read how vendors handle problems.
- Keep signed contracts and payment records, since TKWW may ask for them.
- Do not use contract terms that limit what clients can say in reviews.
- Keep photos, pricing and service details on your Storefront up to date.

About the numbers
- AI citations: the share of answers from AI assistants that cite a page on theknot.com, out of 23,227 answers in the last 90 days, to questions about the businesses in our directory ("what do customers say about ...") and to category questions ("best dentist in ..."). Search-result and help pages on a review site are not counted. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- Cited by AI, by industry: for each industry (a directory category, or the national brands filed under an industry such as e-commerce), the share of AI answers about businesses in that industry that cite a page on theknot.com; n is the number of answers in that industry (last 90 days; only industries with at least 20 answers). As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- Site reach: the estimated monthly organic search visits to theknot.com (DataForSEO Labs) and its Domain Rating (Ahrefs, 0 to 100). These are third-party estimates for the whole domain, not figures from The Knot. As of October 2026. ↩
