Who uses HomeAdvisor
Home service professionals who buy leads and are rated by the homeowners they serve; homeowners compare pros using ratings and reviews from other customers.
Claim your profile
- Pros join the lead network rather than claiming a free listing: they set the type of work they do and the area they serve, then pay a fee for each matched lead.
- The pro FAQ lists a phone number to call for details or to join.
Replying to reviews
Angi's help center describes replying for Angi pro accounts: in the Angi for Pros app open the Reviews tab, tap See reviews, pick the review, tap Add a Comment and save; on the web, choose All reviews under the Reviews tab and use the Comment on this review link. The HomeAdvisor pro FAQ does not describe replying, so the same steps could not be confirmed for HomeAdvisor-branded accounts.
- Angi says a reply can show as pending until a member of its team has checked it.
- The pro FAQ says that when negative feedback comes in, the service contacts the pro so the customer's concern can be addressed.
Review rules
In our own words. The official page is the rule that applies.
- The pro FAQ lists no formal review rules; it describes general expectations such as professional conduct, prompt call returns, and confirming job scope with customers.
- The service contacts customers after referrals about their satisfaction, and that feedback is shown to other customers.
- A customer complaint does not automatically cancel a pro's membership, according to the FAQ.
Reporting a review
HomeAdvisor does not publish a process for businesses to report a review. Contact the site through the official page below.
Tips
- Return customer calls promptly and confirm the scope of work before starting.
- Respond to negative feedback calmly and offer to resolve it.
- Keep contact details and service descriptions accurate.

About the numbers
- AI citations: the share of answers from AI assistants that cite a page on homeadvisor.com, out of 23,227 answers in the last 90 days, to questions about the businesses in our directory ("what do customers say about ...") and to category questions ("best dentist in ..."). Search-result and help pages on a review site are not counted. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- Cited by AI, by industry: for each industry (a directory category, or the national brands filed under an industry such as e-commerce), the share of AI answers about businesses in that industry that cite a page on homeadvisor.com; n is the number of answers in that industry (last 90 days; only industries with at least 20 answers). As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- Has a profile, by industry: the share of the businesses we checked in each industry that have a HomeAdvisor profile; n is the number of businesses checked in that industry. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- States: the share of the businesses we checked in each state that have a HomeAdvisor profile. States with too few businesses for a stable number are marked "small sample" and are not ranked; when every state is a small sample, none is shown. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- Typical rating: the mean star rating of the HomeAdvisor reviews we collected for the businesses we checked (27 reviews). As of October 30, 2026. ↩
- Site reach: the estimated monthly organic search visits to homeadvisor.com (DataForSEO Labs) and its Domain Rating (Ahrefs, 0 to 100). These are third-party estimates for the whole domain, not figures from HomeAdvisor. As of October 2026. ↩
