Who uses GuildQuality

Home builders, remodelers and other home services contractors that become GuildQuality members so it can survey their customers, and homeowners researching those members.

Claim your profile

  1. A GuildQuality profile belongs to a member company; the help pages we read do not describe claiming a profile, and the public profile pages link to becoming a member.
  2. Log in, choose 'Profile' in the left navigation, and fill in at least your website, a description and a logo.
  3. Use 'Social media' in the left navigation to add links to your social accounts.
  4. Use 'View profile' to preview the public page.

Replying to reviews

A member can post a public response to any review, which appears in line with the review on the profile, and the homeowner is notified of the response.

  • A response can be started from the Surveys tab (open your inbox, find the completed survey and click respond), from the Contacts tab (select the contact and open the project information), or from the public profile page.
  • Responses can be published once the survey is completed.
  • GuildQuality says a member can respond to thank a customer or to dispute a negative review.

Review rules

In our own words. The official page is the rule that applies.

  • Reviews come from the 'Likely to Recommend' survey question, and the answer sets the 1 to 5 star rating shown with the review.
  • GuildQuality says it publishes every review it receives to the member's profile page.
  • Members can choose which reviews to share on Facebook, X or their own website, but all reviews stay on the GuildQuality page.
  • Members can turn reviews off entirely but cannot hide individual reviews.
  • Surveys are run by GuildQuality as a third party by email, phone and text, and a survey expires 120 days after the first attempt by default.
  • GuildQuality does not remove a completed survey or review except in the two cases listed under reporting.

Reporting a review

GuildQuality's own process, step by step.

  1. GuildQuality can remove a completed survey only if the customer gave feedback about a different company, or if the customer did not pay anything for the work.
  2. A company with a review that meets those conditions should email support@guildquality.com.
  3. To give a customer the chance to complete a new survey instead, a company can use GuildQuality's resurvey process.

Tips

  • Respond to reviews, thanking customers for positive feedback and addressing negative feedback politely.
  • Keep your profile complete, with a website, description and logo.
  • Do not selectively request positive reviews; GuildQuality's own guidance cites Google's policy against it.
