Who uses GoodFirms
Providers of software and business services (for example software development, web design and digital marketing firms) and the buyers researching them. Reviewers can choose to appear fully anonymous, semi-anonymous or public, while their name and employer details are used for verification.
Claim your profile
- Scroll to the bottom of your company's profile and request a claim there.
- Alternatively, use the "Claim your profile" form linked from the GoodFirms help center, which asks for the company, your name, contact details, website, a business email to receive the profile credentials and a description of the request.
- The GoodFirms team gets back to you to complete the verification process.
Replying to reviews
GoodFirms' help center says vendors can leave a response under any review on their profile to clarify their position.
- If a review looks entirely fake, fraudulent or misleading, the same help article points vendors to reporting it to GoodFirms by email.
Review rules
In our own words. The official page is the rule that applies.
- GoodFirms says it does not publish a review until its team verifies the reviewer's identity from the details they provide, cross-checked against their LinkedIn profile, and it rejects reviews it cannot verify.
- Reviewers can choose fully anonymous, semi-anonymous or public display; name and employer details are used only for verification.
- Reviewers cannot delete a review once it is published and must contact GoodFirms with concerns.
- The terms of use prohibit giving or receiving compensation for writing or removing reviews, other than incentivized reviews that follow GoodFirms' guidelines.
Reporting a review
GoodFirms's own process, step by step.
- If a review on your profile looks fake, fraudulent or misleading, report it to GoodFirms by email right away with the relevant review details.
- Be ready to back the claim with evidence.
- GoodFirms may delete or edit the review if needed, but is not obliged to act if it does not find evidence supporting the claim.
Tips
- Reply to critical reviews professionally and stick to facts.
- Keep the company profile accurate and complete.
- Collect reviews only from real clients, and never pay for reviews or for their removal.
- Keep evidence (contracts, emails) if you believe a review is not genuine.
