Customer Lobby Review Guide

customerlobby.com

Customer Lobby is a paid marketing and review service for home service businesses, founded in 2008. It follows up jobs with review requests, helps collect reviews on Google, Facebook and other sites, and hosts a public review page for each business that uses it. Those review pages carry Customer Lobby's own publishing guidelines and a link to report an issue with a review.

Replying to reviews

Customer Lobby review pages can show a comment from the business beneath a review, labeled as a comment from that company. The pages we checked do not describe how account holders post these comments.

  • Customer Lobby says its technicians' mobile app lets a business ask for a review while still at the customer's home.
  • Its terms say reviews on its pages can include reviews that Customer Lobby transcribes and summarizes from phone calls with a business's customers.

Review rules

In our own words. The official page is the rule that applies.

  • Reviews must come from a paying customer (including pre-paid customers) of the business and describe an experience from the last 12 months.
  • Reviews that the reviewer has withdrawn, or that Customer Lobby believes to be untrue, are not published.
  • Obscene, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate comments are not published, including comments in a language other than English.
  • Advertising, spam, and references to other companies, reviewers, services, products, offers or websites are not allowed.
  • Contact details such as email addresses, URLs, phone numbers and street addresses are not allowed.
  • Critical or spiteful remarks about other reviews or their authors, and defamatory, hateful, threatening or harassing content, are not published.
  • Customer Lobby may decline to publish any review at its sole discretion, and its terms let it remove, screen or edit content at any time.

Reporting a review

Customer Lobby's own process, step by step.

  1. Open the review on its Customer Lobby review page and click Report an Issue With This Review.
  2. Describe the problem in the required comments field and save the report.
  3. The pages we checked do not say how reports are reviewed, how long that takes, or what outcomes are possible.
  4. Customers can also call Customer Lobby support at the number listed on its site.

Tips

  • Ask for reviews soon after the job, while the experience is fresh.
  • Invite every customer to review, not only those likely to be happy.
  • Respond to critical reviews calmly and offer to resolve the issue offline.
  • Do not ask customers to include phone numbers or links in a review; the publishing guidelines exclude them.

About the numbers

  1. AI citations: the share of answers from AI assistants that cite a page on customerlobby.com, out of 23,227 answers in the last 90 days, to questions about the businesses in our directory ("what do customers say about ...") and to category questions ("best dentist in ..."). Search-result and help pages on a review site are not counted. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
  2. Cited by AI, by industry: for each industry (a directory category, or the national brands filed under an industry such as e-commerce), the share of AI answers about businesses in that industry that cite a page on customerlobby.com; n is the number of answers in that industry (last 90 days; only industries with at least 20 answers). As of October 30, 2026. ↩
  3. Site reach: the estimated monthly organic search visits to customerlobby.com (DataForSEO Labs). These are third-party estimates for the whole domain, not figures from Customer Lobby. As of October 2026. ↩
