Who uses ChamberofCommerce.com

Small businesses across the United States, whose listings often start from data supplied by outside data providers until the owner claims them, and consumers who search the directory by business type, name, city and state.

Claim your profile

  1. Find your business profile on the site and choose Claim This Business on the listing.
  2. If your business is not listed, use the Add Your Business page to create an account and a listing.
  3. Once the listing is claimed, sign in, open the Businesses tab and choose Edit to change your details, categories, logo and photos.
  4. City, state and password changes are not available in the editor; the FAQ says to request them through the contact form.
  5. If someone else already claimed your listing, use the Is This Business Yours link on the listing, choose Dispute and send the form; the FAQ says a request on company letterhead is needed to take over the login.
  6. A free Basic listing is offered; the member benefits page lists paid Premium ($179 a year), Premium+ ($299 a year) and Elite ($499 a year) plans.

Replying to reviews

The ChamberofCommerce.com pages we checked do not describe how to post a public reply to a review written on the site. The FAQ presents responding to customer complaints as part of the review dispute benefit of a paid membership, without giving steps.

  • Reviews shown from Google appear with the business's own Google response when one exists; those replies are written on Google, not on ChamberofCommerce.com.
  • The member benefits page lists Dispute Negative Reviews among the features of the paid plans.

Review rules

In our own words. The official page is the rule that applies.

  • The review form on a profile asks for a star rating, a name, an email address, a review title and the review text, and loads a reCAPTCHA check.
  • Profiles also show reviews pulled from Google, labeled with their source.
  • The terms forbid content that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive or threatening, or that encourages illegal conduct.
  • Content that advertises or solicits money, goods or services is not allowed.
  • Users may not defame, harass, stalk or threaten others or violate their privacy.
  • The company says it may edit, refuse to post or remove material in whole or in part at its sole discretion, but it has no duty to monitor.
  • Using the site requires users to be at least 18 years old.

Reporting a review

ChamberofCommerce.com's own process, step by step.

  1. The site says Premium members can dispute false or incorrect reviews; the pages we checked do not describe the steps or a response time.
  2. For other listing problems, the contact form offers the topic I Need Help with My Listing.
  3. The terms reserve the company's right to remove any material at its discretion.

Tips

  • Claim your listing so the details shown come from you rather than from outside data providers.
  • Keep categories, hours and contact details current; the first category you list becomes your primary category.
  • Reply to Google reviews on Google, since those replies also appear next to the Google reviews shown on your profile here.
  • Invite every customer to leave a review, not only those you expect to be happy.

About the numbers

  1. AI citations: the share of answers from AI assistants that cite a page on chamberofcommerce.com, out of 23,227 answers in the last 90 days, to questions about the businesses in our directory ("what do customers say about ...") and to category questions ("best dentist in ..."). Search-result and help pages on a review site are not counted. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
  2. Cited by AI, by industry: for each industry (a directory category, or the national brands filed under an industry such as e-commerce), the share of AI answers about businesses in that industry that cite a page on chamberofcommerce.com; n is the number of answers in that industry (last 90 days; only industries with at least 20 answers). As of October 30, 2026. ↩
  3. Has a profile, by industry: the share of the businesses we checked in each industry that have a ChamberofCommerce.com profile; n is the number of businesses checked in that industry. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
  4. States: the share of the businesses we checked in each state that have a ChamberofCommerce.com profile. States with too few businesses for a stable number are marked "small sample" and are not ranked; when every state is a small sample, none is shown. As of October 30, 2026. ↩
  5. Typical rating: the mean star rating of the ChamberofCommerce.com reviews we collected for the businesses we checked (96 reviews). As of October 30, 2026. ↩
